The House Of Legacy Publishing, LLC was founded by Author Johnny A. McDowell after experiencing the constant struggle and frustration involved in attempting to land a book contract with one of the “Big Three” publishing companies or using print on demand publishers. Despite his setbacks Johnny knew he had been given the ability to create a great story line and that if he didn’t pursue independent publishing he would be wasting the talents God had given him. Because he had to personally take on the tasks of producing every aspect of an established publishing company, he began a strategy of putting together a team to take his creations from manuscript to the shelves. Johnny partnered with Creative Man Studio, various editors and landed a firm distribution system. Johnny will quickly admit that he had obstacles to overcome and he had to build THOL from the ground up. Because of his experience learning the ins and outs of publishing Johnny is now opening THOL beyond self-publishing to offer his expertise to fellow authors to get their stories on the shelves. The House Of Legacy, LLC began as a bootstrap operation and its strong foundation allows it to stand today and continue handing down its experience to new authors into the future.
